Familj.se is a mobile app for family and pregnancy-related content and tools. This page explains, in simple words, what personal information we may handle and why. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app and stop using our services.

Not medical advice. The app is for general information and planning only. It does not replace a doctor, midwife, or other qualified professional. For health decisions, always speak to a licensed professional.

What we may collect

Account: for example name, email, date of birth, gender, and login details you give us when you register or sign in.
Profile and app use: information you add (such as a profile photo, notes, checklists, or baby-related details you choose to save).
Community: text or other content you post in discussions, plus related actions (for example replies or likes) if those features are available.
Feedback: what you type in the contact or feedback form (for example name, email, phone, message, and rating).
Device: basic technical information needed to run the app (such as device type, system version, and app version). Some data is stored on your phone to work offline or load faster.

Camera and photos

We only use your camera or photo library if you allow it in your device settings, usually to add or change a profile picture.

How we use your information

We use it only to run and improve the app, keep your account secure, answer your messages, and follow the law. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Services that help us run the app

We use trusted providers (for example cloud hosting, Google Firebase for parts of the app, and our own servers for accounts and content). They may process data on our behalf under contract and only as needed to provide the service.

Children

The app is meant for adults and parents. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) without proper parental consent. If you think a child gave us personal data by mistake, contact us through the app and we will delete it when we can confirm the request.

Keeping your information safe

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No app or website can promise 100% security.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can request account deletion using our account deletion page. You can also contact us through the Contact or Feedback area in the app.

Outside your country

Your information may be stored or processed in other countries where our providers operate. When the law requires it, we use approved transfer tools (for example standard contractual clauses).

Changes

We may update this policy. The new date will appear at the top. For important changes, we may also show a notice in the app when reasonable.
